My name is Odunjo Copeland and I am an aspiring Entertainment Executive. I enjoy listening to people’s dreams and helping in any way I can to make them a reality. I believe that everyone has a dream, no matter how big or how small. We were only given one life to live with the same 24hrs in a day, and believe it or not, that’s adequate time to pursue the one thing in life you dream about doing. I look at myself as a dreamer because I don’t just want to be ordinary.
People who go after their dreams live a more self-fulfilling and happy life. The obstacles in life don’t make your dreams any easier, but you have to start somewhere. As a career, I would like to own a marketing and public relations firm that manages up and coming artist and people who are not afraid to go after their dreams. I plan on getting my law degree to better understand contracts and business. I always look at life from an optimistic point of view and believe that,
“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” Nothing could be closer to the truth. But before you can begin this process of transformation you have to stop doing the things that have been holding you back.” - Maria Robinson”
I am also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Beta Chapter, which resides at my alma mater, Howard University. I currently live in Washington, D.C. - The Nations Capital - and I love the atmosphere here. I am determined to be successful no matter what struggles I go through in life. A good friend of mine once told me,
“If you can fail after you suceed, what in the world makes you think you can’t suceed after you’ve failed” -J.A.Favors
I believe this, because I am a dreamer and like any beautifully written Cinderella story, dreams do come true!!!
